Dr. Marisa Mahler is a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder and director of Mahler Psychology, P.C. Dr. Mahler specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, stress management and relationship issues. Her integrative approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) to treat individuals for a range of emotional and behavioral difficulties. Dr. Mahler provides her clients with highly individualized treatment tailored to meet their personal needs. Her holistic approach aims to enable her clients to live their best lives by improving overall health and helping to become “unstuck” in maladaptive patterns. Dr. Mahler works to create a warm, supportive, nonjudgmental environment to assist her clients in achieving their goals in a safe space.

Prior to earning her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University, she earned her B.A. in Psychology from Yeshiva University, graduating cum laude, and was awarded a Presidential Fellowship working for the Office of the Provost. Upon completing her fellowship, she earned an M.A. in Education from Yeshiva University.

Dr. Mahler has been featured as a psychology expert in a variety of publications. In addition, she has presented about mental health issues in numerous settings including schools, camps, and hospitals.

Dr. Mahler serves as the director of Camper Care at Ramah Day Camp in Nyack, NY where she works to provide psychological support to campers and their families.
